Love UT Give UT aims to raise $1.6 million for Utah nonprofits and schools
on the state’s fourth annual 24-hour day of giving on March 31, 2016
Salt Lake City – Nonprofit organizations and schools may now register to be a part of Utah’s largest “day of giving” by going to www.loveUTgiveUT.org. On Thursday, March 31, 2016, Utahns will once again show their generosity by contributing to their favorite participating nonprofit organizations and schools during Love UT Give UT.
“Love UT Give UT has grown dramatically over the last three years. Last year Love UT Give UT raised $1,231,521in unrestricted dollars for 497 charities in just 24 hours. We hope to make an even larger impact this year and raise $1.6 million in 2016 for more than 500 charities and schools across Utah,” said Alex Eaton, Executive Director at the Community Foundation of Utah.
Love UT Give UT’s vision is that everyone can be a philanthropist and contribute to the causes that matter most to them – their school, a favorite charity, or a specific need. It is a day for Utahns of all backgrounds to come together for 24 hours of giving using an online platform, www.loveUTgiveUT.org.
The platform makes it easy for individuals to search for the organizations and causes that are important to them and employers use Love UT Give UT to match employee donations to their favorite nonprofits. Love UT Give UT helps nonprofits and schools showcase their work and introduce them to potential donors. Last year, 22% of all donors were new to the causes they supported, crucial to the sustainability of our region’s nonprofits.
