House District 29 Newsletter
The Legislature has continued to make progress as they blaze through week 5 of the Legislative Session.
Representative Perry has had great success in moving his own legislation through the system, including HB 167, which provides a fund for maintenance of the Utah Law Enforcement Memorial by establishing a Special Group License Plate. This bill has passed the Senate, and is now awaiting signature from the Governor.
Week 5 of the legislative session proved to be another great week for the legislature. Representative Perry has continued to offer his support for his colleagues bills, while also being able to successfully move his own legislation right along. Representative Perry has been able to make significant progress on his various water bills, including one to improve funding for our state's water infrastructure.
Representative Perry was also able to welcome visitors from Fremont High School, the DUP, and other various groups who ventured to the Capitol to witness our state's Representatives. Fortunately, these visits occurred during Representative Perry's breaks, so they did not interfere with his ability to perform legislation.
Thanks to everyone who has offered their support to our legislators, and we will keep you informed as the legislative session comes to its final weeks.
