RC Willey and Tempur-Pedic Donate 280 Mattresses to Utah Charities
SALT LAKE CITY – June 20, 2014 – RC Willey recently teamed up with Tempur-Pedic to donate 280 high-quality mattresses to Salt Lake area shelters in need.
140 mattresses were delivered to Salt Lake’s Catholic Community Services, and will be distributed to incoming refugees through their Refugee Resettlement Program.
The Refugee Resettlement Program provides comprehensive resettlement services to refugees from various regions of the world. The program’s goal is to help refugees towards self-sufficiency during their period of transition to a new environment. In June alone, the program welcomed more than 100 new refugees to Utah.
“We are so thankful for Utah’s generous companies like RC Willey that support our mission of helping those who need it most,” said Aden Batar, director of Catholic Community Services’ Refugee Resettlement Program. “These mattresses come at a time of serious need, and will be of benefit to so many families who will surely appreciate them.”

In addition to Catholic Community Services, RC Willey delivered mattresses to Kaysville’s Davis Citizens Coalition Against Violence and Ogden’s Family Crisis Center. Mattress protectors and pillows we also included as part of the donation.
