Even though Sessions has been one of President Trump's most stalwart, high-profile defenders since the early days of the GOP primary, his job running the Justice Department appears to be in jeopardy.
"There is a lot Trump supporters will forgive because they can say: At least Jeff Sessions is the attorney general," says Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies. "If Jeff Sessions is not the attorney general, you don't have that clause at the end of sentences."
