Today Senator Hatch questioned Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch as a part of her confirmation process.
In a Washington Times op-ed in November, Senator Hatch wrote, "President Obama’s nomination of Loretta Lynch to replace Eric Holder Jr. as attorney general is an opportunity to refurbish the tarnished image of both the Senate and the Department of Justice. Seizing that opportunity will require a deliberative confirmation process and the appointment of an attorney general committed to putting the rule of law before partisan politics.”
Senator Hatch’s questions focused on several important issues, including her commitment to the rule of law, immigration, executive overreach, tech and intellectual property, the criminal justice system, child pornography, victim restitution and civil rights issues.
