Bishop Casts Vote to REPEAL Obamacare
WASHINGTON – The U.S. House of representatives has voted to pass the American Health Care Act (AHCA). Rep. Rob Bishop (UT-01) released the following statement after voting in favor of the measure:
“The problem with Obamacare is that it has raised premiums significantly, and it has caused people to have their workhours slashed and even lose their jobs. Americans have been either forced into a government program or penalized with a fine. Those who became newly insured were pushed into a plan that was doomed to fail. The passage of today's healthcare reform bill is the first step to allow people to have choices that meet their needs, not forced into what the government demands. I understand the pains of Obamacare first hand. As a member of Congress, I too was forced to comply with this mandate. This bill is a significant step forward for all those who seek quality, affordable, and accessible health care.”
