The Used recently released their 7th studio album, The Canyon and secured the #3 Current Hard Music Albums charting position on the Billboard charts. Additionally, The Used secured the #5 Current Alternative Albums, #5 Record Label Independent Current Albums and #6 Top Current Rock Albums charting positions. Fans can purchase the album now in stores, on Apple Music, iTunes or streaming on Spotify.
The 17-track album, released via Hopeless Records and produced by Ross Robinson (The Cure, At The Drive In), pushed the band further in every way imaginable. Written out of pain and loss, The Canyon is tragic and haunting while also having a sense of light and energy that is unlike anything this band has put forward. "This isn't just an album born from a death, it's an album whose makers have found some new lease on life," shared Nylon in an exclusive interview and acoustic session with the band. With praise from outlets like Billboard stating The Canyon is "their largest body of work to date, and in many ways, their most important" and Rolling Stone calling the acoustic performances of these new tracks a "blistering...poignant rendition," this is The Used at their most vulnerable and possibly, at their best.

A deer capture in Cache County -- originally scheduled for later this week -- has been moved up.
A helicopter will be used to capture deer tomorrow ( Wednesday ).
Capturing and researching deer in Cache County
On Wednesday, Cache County residents may look up to find deer soaring through the skies above! DWR biologists are working with a helicopter crew who will locate and capture female mule deer and fly them into a staging area. (The deer were fitted with tracking collars in the past, which makes it easier for the capture crew to find them.) After the deer land, they will receive health checkups that help the biologists better assess how the animals are doing this winter.

Bobby Mahoney & the Seventh Son
Announce New Self-Titled Album
Set To Release March 23, 2018
East Brunswick, NJ - March 6, 2018 - New Jersey alt-punk rockers, Bobby Mahoney & the Seventh Son have announced the release of their self-titled album, due out March 23, 2018. The band released a video late last year for the album's first single "Empty Passenger Seats," which is available to watch HERE.
On the record, lead vocalist, Bobby Mahoney shares, "We went into the studio last summer with a handful of new songs, and some new ideas for a few older tunes, with the goal of capturing a clear example of what we do as a band. I wanted the songs to speak for themselves, and to convey our live energy, and I think we were successful. We loved writing and playing these songs, and I think you can hear that on the record."
Founded in 2010 under just the name "Seventh Son," the band was originally intended for a single show, but they quickly caught on locally and began playing the New Jersey rock circuit. After the release of their first EP and undergoing some lineup changes, the band rebranded as Bobby Mahoney & the Seventh Son in 2014. Since then, the band has released three full-length studio albums, and have shared the stage with notable bands such as The Gaslight Anthem, Pity Sex and Pianos Become the Teeth.

Community witnesses start of homes transformation
Local residents and children from a nearby school have been amongst the first to see the progress on an ambitious scheme to transform the Holmcroft area of Stafford.
Builders are now on site in Woodlands Road as part of a project that will see the replacement of 14 bungalows that no longer meet the high standards set by the areas leading provider of affordable homes, Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH).
The current occupants of the properties were given the opportunity to see their new homes taking shape as part of a scheme to deliver a mix of one bedroom bungalows and two, three and four bedroom houses. The scheme, which will also see new homes built in Second Avenue, is the result of a partnership between SARH, Stafford Borough Council (SBC) and construction firm Jessup Brothers.
Karen Armitage, SARH Chief Executive, commented: “This project is a fantastic example of partnership working to deliver high quality homes that meet the needs of the local community.
“It’s also unusual in that we’ve been able to plan the build programme so that most customers can remain in their old home until their new home is complete, minimising any disruption.”
“We also recognise that good housing is not just about bricks and mortar, but about building stronger communities and as well as providing new homes, the scheme will maintain the strong neighbourhood bonds that have been established over many years.
“We’re delighted our partners share this vision and it was fantastic that so many members of the local community joined us as to witness the start of construction work.”
Karen was joined in welcoming visitors to Woodlands Road by Tim Clegg, Chief Executive from SBC, who said: “The council has set out a strong plan for creating a prosperous borough of strong, safe, and healthy communities with quality places to live. Woodlands Road is the type of development that will help deliver this vision.”
Clive Jessup, Managing Director of Jessup Brothers, added: “As a locally-based company we are delighted to be involved in a project that’s set to improve the standard of local housing.
“At the same time we’re committed to re-investing in the community by creating employment opportunities for locally based trades people and contractors.”
Also taking part in the site visit were youngsters from nearby Sir Graham Balfour School, further strengthening links between the local community, SARH and its construction partners. During the event they were presented with framed photographs of artwork painted on disused garages that have also been taken down to make way for the new homes. During the build programme, Jessup will be hosting a number of on-site events to enable students to discover the many career opportunities offered by the construction industry.
When complete, the project will offer 27 homes for affordable rent and 13 for shared ownership and the first new homes will be ready by June this year. Designed by architect Ian Foden of BM3, the14 one-bedroom bungalows and a mix of two, three and four-bedroomed properties incorporate the latest energy-saving features.
They are amongst the latest properties to be built as part of a series of developments by SARH, one of the areas leading employers, which has seen more than 500 new homes built over the past decade.

Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) is the largest social landlord in Stafford with around 6,000 homes across Stafford, Stone and the rural villages across the Borough. Established in 2006 to own and manage the former Stafford Borough Council housing stock, SARH set up a trading subsidiary company Housing Worx, to deliver planned maintenance works to its properties and fulfil commercial contracts in 2012. SARH also offers 18 Independent Living schemes for people aged over 55 and an award winning Telecare home safety and personal security system for the elderly and vulnerable. SARH has invested more than £100 million on improvement and regeneration programmes and building over 500 high quality new homes for rent and shared ownership which have benefited SARH customers by improving neighbourhoods and creating job opportunities for local people. The housing association works in partnership with local authorities, health trusts, statutory bodies and a range of voluntary organisations to create safe, sustainable communities where residents can ‘Live, Work and Grow’.
