Hello,
Founder's Day went well. I had a lot of comments that folks enjoyed the parade, events, car show, salmon bake and the FIREWORKS. I have had several people let me know that it was the best that they have seen in a long time (Even Mayor Taylor from North Ogden said we threw down the gauntlet). Keep this in mind… The City put the fireworks show out to bid and we offered a 3 year contract and what used to cost the residents $25,000 only cost $20,000!!! I love it when a plan comes together.
As you may have noticed Shady Lane Park is under construction, Barker Park parking area and the City Shop. We are in the process of wrapping up some unfinished/long overdue projects. Also the AG Basin should be near completion and fully functional. The next step in the infrastructure system will be to correct the problem in 500 W. at approximately 3850 N.
This Tuesday night is the City Council Meeting… The agenda and other items can be found at my blog http://pleasantviewcity.blogspot.com Please click on the link for more information.
I have had a ton of calls on the next subject, therefore, I thought it appropriate to include it in this email. Please note that this Thursday is the Planning Commission for Public Hearing for a rezoning request for the property located at 3149 N. Highway 89 to go from MP-1 to C-2 for a residential treatment center-community based. If for any reason you are unable to attend the meeting and would like to have your thoughts, comments or voice heard, please email the the City Recorder at lhellstrom@plesantviewcity.com or myself and I will forward it to the appropriate department.
Sincerely,
Mayor Toby Mileski
