Governor to sign executive order establishing oversight in state agency rulemaking
What: Gov. Gary R. Herbert will sign an executive order related to the establishment of effective oversight in state agency rulemaking.

Who: Gov. Gary R. Herbert Rep. Brad Wilson Lane Beattie, President, Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce Notes: This executive order establishes a review process for new administrative rules within the the Governor's office and creates a uniform fiscal analysis tool for use by agencies as they perform the statutorily required fiscal impact analysis to business and the public. The order will increase training to administrative rule coordinators within agencies and aims to increase coordination among executive agencies, the Division of Administrative Rules, the Office of the Governor and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development in the development and promulgation of administrative rules. This order replaces and enhances a similar order issued in 2011.
