The professional speaker’s new book discusses forces that shape economy and society
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Conventional thinking is a narcotic. The road to prosperity and mental well-being is not achieved by following the masses and being chained by conventional thinking. Business author and professional speaker for over 35 years, Sanford Kahn wrote: “The Rebellion of a Rogue-Raged Economist” (published by iUniverse) as a guidebook that will challenge an individual’s mindset when it comes to the economy, business, religion & life. Success in life comes from taking an independent path.
“The Rebellion of a Rogue-Raged Economist” consists of 159 “postings” that are designed to give readers a new and different perspective about our economic and social environment. The book deals with topics such as Kahn’s making hash out of the positive mental attitude myth. There is something much more important than a positive mental attitude to help ensure success. From a psychology standpoint, he discusses what the purpose of life is (not the meaning of life). Mr. Kahn covers the five “wealth builders” – industries that he says have consistently created wealth in societies from the beginning of time and into the future.
In Mr. Kahn’s view, business professionals have only two choices. These are do they wish to be Business Lords or Serfs. The Lords are the pilots of their own ship and don’t succumb to mass thinking. Mr. Kahn’s goal is to give individuals the knowledge to safely navigate their personal ship in an economy that will be increasingly governed by turbulence and chaos and how to capitalize on the opportunities.

With the most snow we've seen in nearly a decade, its safe to say that this season was one for the books. For our 80th Season, Mother Nature gave us the best present of all; 640" of snow! Sadly, we have loaded the last chair for the 2016 - 2017 season. As always, we would like to thank our loyal Brighton Family for your love and support.
Heres a little insight on the incredible snowfall we've received this season from Chris Stowe, our Snow Safety Manager:
"This season has been the best season since 2010-2011. In January we saw record snowfall for the month. Since January 21st our base has not dropped below 100” at our mid mountain study plot (9500’ elevation). Our highest base was 151” on February 27.
To keep ore records current we measure and weigh our snow 2 times a day. 9am and 5pm on non storm days and 5am to 5pm during storm cycles. This is current with industry standards.
We do use electronic equipment, but manual measurements are always taken as well. This year we were favored in the storm track, because the SW flow stayed steady all year long."
Stay tuned to our social media and website for info on upcoming events and how to get your 2017 - 2018 season pass!
