Greetings Titans! Can you believe that it’s already March and we’re nearing the end of third quarter? There are a couple of awesome things happening at our school this month that I’d like everyone to be aware of. The first is our upcoming ACCREDITATION on the 6th and 7th! An external review team comprised of educators from around the state will come to our school representing the Utah State Office of Education and spend time looking around the building, observing what’s happening in the classroom and looking at evidence files we’ve been gathering the last few years to determine just how awesome our school is. We’re excited for them to come because we’ve worked hard and we’re ready to show off our school. Students, you’ve truly done a wonderful job of helping us get ready by memorizing the school motto and mission statement. I asked kids all day on Friday and EVERYONE knew our mission statement. I’m very proud to call myself a TITAN.
Another really cool thing that will be happening on the 18th is our annual “Life Skills Conference.” We’ve got two different guest key-note speakers coming to discuss things like self-esteem, setting goals and anti-bullying—but we’ve also got over 30 different guest speakers with cool, amazing jobs to talk to all of you. They’ll be discussing what their career is like and how they got that career. Our counselors have worked hard to put this together and we know you’re going to love the conference, students.
That’s just a couple of things that will be happening this month—of course we’ve got some great activities just around the corner including our school musical, Pirated…so keep looking at our calendar to keep up with the many activities happening this month and get your tickets for the show, because it will sell out.
What an amazing school we’ve got! As always, it’s great to be a TITAN!
