Each child will receive a $100 JCPenney gift card to purchase new clothes, coats and shoes as well as presents for their family for the holiday season. This shopping event is just one of the ways that JCPenney is helping to close the opportunity gap for underserved youth.

This is the fifth year that JCPenney has hosted giving spree events in its local communities. This year, the retailer has expanded the program to host a giving spree event in each continental state and Puerto Rico, benefitting over 1,275 low-income youth during the holiday season.

Media are invited to attend this heart-warming local event and capture footage of the 25 kids as they shop for friends and family.
