Prince George, BC, Canada - July 11, 2019 - Indie rock duo The Statistics is thrilled to announce their new album, The Robson Street Hymns. Produced by Elisa Pansaeng, The Robson Street Hymns is set to be released on September 6th, 2019. To pre-save the album, please visit: http://bit.ly/2LJIXln.

On the new album, Darby Yule shares: "I wrote the Robson Street Hymns about a time of great change in my life. I had just moved from a small town to a big city then right back again. I think this is an album for anyone who is a hopeless romantic or dreamer and is still trying to find their place."

Born in an industry town, 800 kilometres from anything, The Statistics created their own unique style of Americana-Indie Rock. Comprised of Darby and Erin Yule, these two brothers accomplished more in 5 years through pure-grit and a love for the craft than most do in a lifetime. True singer-songwriter personalities mixed with an early love for punk rock helped Darby and Erin create a style that they can truly say is their own.

The Statistics started their journey with the release of their first EP Haunts (produced by Paul Boechler), to a sold-out crowd in a church basement with a blown out PA system. Being the restless hearts that they were, the Yule boys started expanding out of their home-town of Prince George, BC and playing road shows, as well as opening for bands such as Bend Sinister, Birds of Bellwoods, Kingsfoil, and Illscarlett.

By the time they released their single "Jealous Heart" (produced by Elisa Pangsaeng) in 2016, they were doing full tours and headlining festivals such as UBC Goosehunt Festival, Canadian Music Week, and Parks Alive!.

In November 2016, they released their country inspired, regretful single "Old Habits feat. Amy Kirkpatrick" (produced by Elisa Pangsaeng. They were also nominated for "Best Out of Province Act" at the Toronto Independent Music Awards. They finished the year with placing in Semi-Finals at Indie Week Toronto's "Best in Fest" award.

In the spring of 2017, The Statistics went back into studio to start recording their new record The Robson Street Hymns. Produced by Elisa Pangsaeng and The Statistics, the album features an all-star line up of members from Said the Whale, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Colin James, and Wide Mouth Mason. Though it has taken over a year to release, The Statistics first single off the new album, "True North," reached 40,000 streams in the first month and 86,000 streams to date. In late, 2018 The Statistics teamed up with Redwoods and The Fallaways to co-headline the popular WTF Tour across British Columbia.

The Statistics are eagerly preparing to share their new album, The Robson Street Hymns, out September 6, 2019. To pre-save the album, please visit: http://bit.ly/2LJIXln.

Excuses, Excuses. 5 Ways To Stop Making Them And Take Charge Of Your Life

Everyone makes excuses on occasion.

Late for work? “The traffic was killer.” Passed over for a promotion? “It’s office politics.”

But to be successful – in a career or in life in general – people need to put aside their reliance on excuses and instead strive for an excuse-free life, says John Collopy, a successful businessman and author of the book The Reward of Knowing (www.johncollopy.com).

“Excuses may make us feel better about what does or does not happen to us, but they never help us move closer to our goals,” Collopy says. “Just the opposite, in fact. Excuses hold us back. They make us stagnate.”

Collopy knows something about how seductive excuses can be – and also about making the most of opportunities life sends your way. He overcame a troubled youth and an addiction to alcohol on the way to achieving extraordinary success as a real estate broker. Now he is dedicated to helping others take the right steps to achieve their dreams, a theme he explores in his book.

“There are plenty of things in life you can’t control,” Collopy says. “Where you’re born. The family you’re born into. The opportunities you’re given.”

Ultimately, though, as your life unfolds, how you handle each situation you face remains up to you.

“I’ve had plenty of failures,” Collopy says. “I’ve had business failures, relationship failures, legal failures and moral failures. But do you know whose fault every one of those failures was? Mine. It wasn’t the economy. It wasn’t because I was cheated by someone, or because of any other bad break I had along the way. It was me.”

To move past making excuses and to learn to take advantage of opportunities that present themselves, Collopy says people should:

  • Look forward. People often use past mistakes to justify current failures, but that’s a bad habit to get caught up in, Collopy says. “Certainly, it’s important to learn from the past, but then your focus needs to be on moving forward,” he says.
  • Be conscious of your “fallback” excuses. People often have “fallback” excuses, which serve as their go-to rationalizations for when things go wrong. They might say: “I don’t have enough time” or “I don’t have enough money” or “I’m too old (or young) to do that.” The key is to put aside those excuses and seek solutions, Collopy says. “You need to be aware of what your fallback excuses are,” he says. “Then you need to ask yourself how to move beyond them.”
  • Have confidence. “It can be scary to take the leap and claim an opportunity that’s outside of your comfort zone,” Collopy says, “but the more you do it, the more your confidence will grow.”
  • Decide what you really want in life. Sometimes it’s easier to see opportunities when you’re looking for them, Collopy says. “For example, if you’ve relegated yourself to staying in an unsatisfying career,” he says, “you’re less likely to see opportunities for change.” But make sure your goals are clear, he says, so you can take actionable steps toward achieving them.
  • Stop comparing yourself to others. There’s no need to dwell on how your accomplishments measure up to others, Collopy says. “That does nothing more than give you fodder for disappointment – and give you an excuse to come up with more excuses,” he says.

“Overcoming the urge to make excuses is almost like beating an addiction, and it can be just as powerful, “ Collopy says. “If you want to live your best life, you’ve got to start by believing you can and stop telling yourself all the reasons you can’t.”

"The Florida [three piece] knows how to turn a sneering vocal hook and a parade of

power chords into a thumping chorus." - Billboard

"...the trio dive into the hills and valleys of a modern relationship

through jamming guitar and gritty vocals." - Alternative Press

"With their debut EP...the band is making their mark as passionate, skilled songwriters that

work together as a cohesive unit that is truly impressive." - Substream Magazine

July 11, 2019 - Florida - Just months after the release of their debut self-titled EP, Florida alternative rock band Never Loved has returned with a brand new single. Fans can check out the music video for "Where Do I Go From Here?" now, here.

"This song centers around a question I often ask myself: 'Ok, what now?'" shares lead singer Camm Knopp. "When I wrote this song, I was in the waiting phase of the hurry up and wait game that's a part of life. Sometimes life moves at a crazy pace and everything feels like it's on track. Then there are times I find myself waiting around wondering what's next, ultimately becoming bored and a little anxious as time goes on."

He continues: "The lesson I've grown to learn is that there will always be these phases in life. The key is to embrace the downtime, make the most of every situation, and most importantly, to just take a deep breath and trust the process."

Never Loved will be hitting the road with Sleep On It, Like Pacific, and Homesafe later this month. The tour kicks off on July 18th in Detroit, with stops in Chicago, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Boston, and more. For a full list of upcoming dates, please see below or visit www.neverlovedmusic.com.

Hailing from the sunny shores of South Florida comes the alt-rock trio, Never Loved. With electrifying choruses & loud, gritty guitars, this three piece powerhouse is guaranteed to spark your inner adolescence.

Last year Never Loved signed with Equal Vision Records. The announcement came alongside the premiere of the band's first ever single, "Dead Inside," via Billboard. Since then, the band was also named one of Billboard's "Artists to Watch: 17 Alternative & Indie Breakouts For 2019," in addition to being featured on Alternative Press, Hot Topic, Substream Magazine, and more.

Never Loved is charging up your 2019 with new music, produced by multi-platinum producer, Matt Squire. The band's debut EP Never Loved is out now and can be purchased at neverloved.lnk.to/ep.
