Shutting Down the Meat Industry

Dear Editor:

This past Sunday, animal rights activists shut down the 146-year-old
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus after years of effectively
exposing them for animal abuse. Can the meat and dairy industry be far
behind?

The shift toward plant-based eating is everywhere. Fast-food chains like
Chipotle, Quiznos, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, and Wendy's offer
plant-based options. Parade, Better Homes and Gardens, and Eating Well
are all touting vegan recipes.

Trump Walking A Thin Red Line

Although it was comic relief to watch President Trump and his White House entourage do the scimitar hokey pokey with their new Arab friends in Saudi Arabia last week, I don’t think the distraction will sidetrack the special council probe into his collusion allegations with the Russian government.

...Breaking News ..this just in ...Ex-FBI chief Robert Muller has been chosen to lead an independent Trump-Russia inquiry.  Because he’s an honest guy.

Mother's Day is Not for Cows

Dear Editor,

Last week, The Washington Post published a major expose of the U.S.
dairy industry concluding that mega dairies scam consumers into paying
extra for "organic" milk that isn't. The timing, a few days before
Mother's Day, could not be more appropriate. Dairy cows, world-wide
symbols of motherhood, never get to see or nurture their babies.

                    “Shameful Vote on Health Care Bill”

      President Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan are now celebrating their victory, passing a horrible excuse for a Health Care bill by 2 votes. I'm not sure why they are celebrating since this isn't a bill which will ever be signed as it is. It's just another example of Donald Trump's ignorance. It's just another chance for him to PRETEND to have accomplished something, for him to stand in front of the cameras and tell us what a “Big Victory” he has, that America is now “Winning” again!

The Abusive Father of Our Country

He is, President Trump, like an abusive father and no good can come of this.  

No George Washington here, no Father Knows Best.  With the foresight of a barroom brawler and the emotional incontinence of a neighborhood bully, Donald Trump is singlehandedly dismantling the foundation of America.
