WASHINGTON, May 27, 2015 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has designated Beaver County in Utah as a primary natural disaster area due to damages and losses caused by a recent drought.

SALT LAKE CITY (April, 9 2015) – Due to recently reported low snowpack and water supply projections, Gov. Gary R. Herbert is encouraging Utahns today to conserve water heading into the spring and summer months. The governor met this afternoon with water supply experts from the Dept. of Natural Resources to get an update on current water supply conditions.

 

Lynne Yates Passes Away, Kevin Potter Elected

 

            Box Elder County--January brought about the sad news that beloved Box Elder Sheriff Lynne Yeates had passed away. A special election was held and Kevin Potter, who was well known as Yeates’ right hand man, was elected to take his place. Kevin Potter expressed appreciation at the honor. We welcome him as the new sheriff in town.
