KBYU Eleven invited Utah students to enter the GettyReady “Learn the Address” Essay and Video Contest in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. This contest was an opportunity for Utah’s seventh through twelfth graders to express how they can live the Gettysburg Address after having learned it.

April 1, 2014: Does anyone out there hate April Fool’s Day as much as I do? Maybe it’s because pranks have become so lame. Or maybe because instead of lame pranks, most people just turn to flat-out lies. Either way, just don’t trust anyone today. Today is also International Fun at Work Day, which I can totally get behind. Fun is fun! Work is work! Let’s combine the two, since they’re both pretty much necessary for survival!

Hindus welcome huge Mormon participation in Hindu Holi festival in Spanish Fork

Hindus have welcomed reported participation of thousands of Mormons at the Hindu Holi “festival of color” in Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork (Utah), said to be world’s largest Holi gathering, on March 29.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, said that it was wonderful to see youth belonging to diverse religious traditions celebrating festival together in harmony and love and enjoying it.

 March 31st is Cesar Chavez Day. A day to honor Chavez—an American farm worker, labor leader, educator, civil rights activist, founder of the United Farm Workers (UFW), and hero.
