Dinner at 8, at God’s

Eight o’clock is a little late for me, I usually go 6-7ish with dinner.  Then there’s that ‘dinner‘ vs. ‘supper‘ thing.  They mean the same, but depending on cultural differences dinner is typically taken earlier between 2pm and 5pm and supper later between 7pm and 11pm.  Either way, it doesn’t matter.  Semantics.  It depends on your biologic clock and your lifestyle ...and when you’re hungry.

Another Pile of Words

...I’m just being fashionably condescending.  Read this, you’ll like it.

There are over a million total words in the English language.  Of these there are about 170,000 in current use, and of those about 20,000 are used commonly by each individual person.

By contrast the Greek language has over 5 million words.  It’s probably the reason we sometimes say, “It’s all Greek to me.”

When Eternity Comes First

When Eternity Comes First

I say let’s get eternity over with now so we can look forward to the future.  Maybe even start enjoying the moment ...make the most of it because there are no guarantees for the future, and as for eternity, well, that’s just simply out of reach.

Out of sight, out of mind.

Sounds nuts, I know, like a shell game with time.  Now you see it (the future) now you don’t.  Where is it?  Here and now, or so far out reaching into eternity that it doesn’t even matter?

Cutting off funding for animal research would prove deadly for humans

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals just launched a new campaign aimed at an unlikely audience of one.

The organization wants President Trump to slash funding for the National Institutes of Health. PETA claims the agency wastes money funding "experiments on animals that fail to produce cures or treatments for humans." So it paid a mobile billboard to drive around the president's Mar-a-Lago resort urging him to "Cut $15 Billion!" from the NIH budget.

Blinded by God of this World

Dear Editor:                              Americans Blinded by the God of this World

The God of this World is Satan, the Great Deceiver.  He has blinded Americans into believing killing unborn humans is a Woman’s right, but God forbids killing innocent humans made after His image.

We have done a terrible job in America, by not following God and the Word of God.  He told us we are to warn those that are committing iniquities against His Moral Laws, so they can turn around and not go to Hell.

Mother's Day is Not for Cows

Dear Editor

Mother's Day, on May 12th, celebrates the cherished bond between mother and child. But mother cows, very icons of motherhood, never get to see their own babies.

Newborn calves are torn from their mothers at birth and turned into veal cutlets, so we can drink the milk that was meant for them. The grief-stricken mother cows bellow for days, calling in vain for their return.
