Dear Editor,

Unless we enact Term Limits on the United States Congress we will not see the change so critically necessary in Washington. 

Our catastrophic US debt situation is precisely because no Congressman has wanted to jeopardize his chances of staying in office basically forever by trimming the fat.

So they just keep kicking the can farther down the road hoping that someone else would take the hit for being fiscally responsible.

when it comes to diet: 2017 will go down in history as the year when
plant-based meats have revolutionized the food industry.

It is in this busy time that we must remember that Christmas is not only about giving and receiving material things. It is about giving our time, our service, and our wishes of goodwill to those around us.

Our leaders failed us when they refused to warn, before the election, that our government had proof that Russian intelligence agencies hacked our election to help elect Trump. The Russians themselves admitted proudly that their government had contacts with various members of the Trump team during the campaign. Why?

Why Skip the Turkey?

Dear Editor,

President Obama is taking a break from Trump transition to pardon two
turkeys. Every one of us can exercise that presidential pardon power on
Thanksgiving by giving thanks for health and happiness while skipping
gratuitous violence.

The 235 million turkeys killed in the U.S. this year have nothing to be
thankful for. They are raised in crowded sheds filled with toxic fumes.
At 16 weeks, slaughterhouse workers cut their throats and dump them in
boiling water to remove their feathers.
