Federal Court Says Some Obamacare Subsidies Illegal

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that some of the subsidies issued to people through the HealthCare.gov website are illegal.

The site, administered by the IRS, gave millions of people subsidies, even though the Affordable Care Act is clear in restricting them to state-run exchanges.

Senate to Vote on Lee’s Transportation Reform

WASHINGTON – Today, the full Senate agreed to include Senator Mike Lee’s proposal to reform transportation funding in a package of amendments on the Highway Trust Fund. The “Transportation Empowerment Act” would allow states to keep the vast majority of revenue each raises through the gas tax, making it easier and more effective for communities to develop the transportation system they want and need.
