Two young men from Box Elder High have been selected as new members of the Utah All-State Orchestra. Caleb Thomson, a senior at BEHS is a clarinetist, and Chase Ferry, a junior at BEHS is a cellist. They joined over 200 high school instrumentalists from the state, to participate in the All-State Orchestra, which is sponsored by Utah Music Educators Association. Utah's largest organization of public and private music teachers dedicated to promoting excellence in music teaching and music performance.
The boys from Box Elder High boys swim team were determined to keep their undefeated regular season on a roll with the region 5 title. They faced some tough competition from Mountain Crest winning Box Elders first region title since 2003. Box Elder girls finished fourth behind Sky View, Logan and Mountain Crest.

Fire officials are issuing a caution as warmer weather arrives. Already this year, a handful of fires that were initially ignited by individuals wanting to clear dead grass or dispose of organic waste have escaped control when they were not being tended and flared up or when unexpected winds carried embers into dry grass.
BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT: Moore's Café - Bernice, the oldest of the Moore’s' four children, and her husband, Nolan Kelley, manage the Perry location. Moore’s Café would like the public to know that they are going to have a new schedule for the coming year. They are closed every Tuesday and Sunday but will be open all other days of the week from 7:00am to 9:00pm. Moore’s Café has been a great asset to Perry’s community and Perry City appreciates their hard work in serving us.
